🐾 Name: Jack (JacJac)
📍 Location: Raton Animal Shelter
📅 Time at Shelter: Over four years
💙 Adoption Fee: Reduced to $20
Meet JacJac — the dog who has been with us the longest, and who has never stopped hoping for his own home.
JacJac came to us after a rough start in life. He wasn’t treated well before he arrived, but over these years, he’s learned that he’s safe here. He still has his quirks: he won’t let a collar or leash near him, and he needs someone who understands that walks and dog parks aren’t for him.
What JacJac loves is having his own yard to relax in. He’s playful in his own way and over all that puppy chaos — he’s content to lounge, keep an eye on things, and be a good watchdog. Give him a warm doghouse in winter, clean food and water every day, and a safe fenced yard, and he’ll be a loyal part of your life.
We’ve lowered his adoption fee from $50 to just $20 in hopes that the right person will come meet him and see if he’s a match. We invite you to come talk to our staff about him – they know him best and can answer any questions about whether JacJac is right for your family and yard.
After four years of waiting, we just want to see him get his chance.
