Meet Penny: A Little Lady Looking for a Place to Call Home

Meet Penny. ❤️

We don’t know what this little lady was called before she came to the shelter, so we’re calling her Penny.

Penny is an approximately 5-year-old female Chihuahua mix who recently arrived at the Raton Animal Shelter after being abandoned downtown.

Because we don’t know her history, we can’t yet tell you whether she is housebroken or how she does with children, cats or other dogs.

What we do know is that Penny is a nice little dog who deserves a place where she can belong.

At five years old, Penny is past the puppy stage, but she still has so many years of companionship ahead of her. Years of familiar footsteps coming through the door, a favorite place to curl up, quiet afternoons, little adventures, and knowing that at the end of every day, she is home.

Maybe someone will look at this little face and realize there is a Penny-sized place waiting in their life. ❤️

Penny is available for adoption through the Raton Animal Shelter.

🐾 Stop by the Raton Animal Shelter Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, or call 575-445-8640 to schedule an appointment.

Please share and help Penny find her place to call home. ❤️
